I STILL RATE THE SKIN REPAIR BALM
I still rate the incredible, locally-made Lanolab Skin Repair Balm (R105 – BUY) as one of the very best treatments to nourish lips & dry cuticles and to soothe minor irritations (like that time I was bitten by a horsefly). I ALWAYS have one on hand. You can read my post on this iconic beauty HERE.
I was VERY excited when I heard the brand was launching a body lotion. I was even more excited when, a few months back before the lotion went into production, Lanolab asked me to try some out and give them some feedback. Even in its developmental stages, this body lotion was superb!
Fast forward a few months and the Lanolab Intense Body Cream is finally available. I’m so excited to share this wonderful formula with you.
NO ADDED FRAGRANCE
The intense body cream was born out of requests from customers.
According to Lanolab, the Intense Body Cream was born out of repeated suggestions and requests from their customers for something they could use to soothe larger areas of skin (as opposed to the balm which is most commonly used on smaller areas like lips and hands).
Maryam Ahmed, Lanolab’s director says the brand spent many months debating the texture, the skin feel, the ingredients (because they wanted it to be as natural as possible) and how best to create a body lotion that really took into account and met the needs of sensitive skin needing nourishment.
No fragrance
They consciously decided on no fragrance, because fragrance can irritate the skin.
SOOTHES, NOURISHES, SPREADS WELL AND IS EASILY ABSORBED
We worked through many possible formulations.
“We worked through many possible formulations before we came up with our final Intense Body Cream – a cream that soothes, nourishes, spreads well, is absorbed easily and does not leave a greasy residue, and this is it”, comments Maryam.
“My skin feels hydrated and comfortable all day” – is the most common response we received from our testers – and that’s exactly what we were hoping to hear,” she says.
I adore the formula.
I adore the formula because really, it ticks every box for me from being superbly formulated by a local brand, being fragrance-free and dermatologically tested, not tested on animals and coming in the coolest, eye-catching packaging.

Infused with naturally derived Lanolin
This luxurious body lotion is infused with naturally derived Lanolin, Papain (from papaya – works as a gentle exfoliator), Shea Butter and plant glycerine. It’s free from allergens like fragrances and harsh chemicals.
I absolutely love everything about it
I absolutely love everything about it from the spreadability to how hydrated and nourished my skin feels after using it. I’ve even used it on my face, it’s that gentle!
