What’s so special about papaya?

What’s so special about papaya?

What’s so special about papaya? One of the two special ingredients in Lanolab is papain (the other is lanolin), an enzyme extracted from papaya or paw-paws – which also explains our packaging colour choice – orange you glad?

What makes papain so special? It’s a smooth operator! It works on the surface of the skin to break down dead skin cells, acting as a natural exfoliator and unclogging pores. It also boosts hydration and softens skin, reducing inflammation – it’s a real skin soother.

This means magic results when it comes to assisting with healing minor cuts, scratches, and rashes – even nappy rash! Cuticles love it too, and so do dry and cracked heels. Papain can also be a true friend for anyone suffering from skin irritation, so many of our clients can’t believe how it assists with soothing minor rash outbreaks – just test it on a small patch of skin first.

1. Rich in AHA’S

Did you know that papaya enzymes are rich in AHA’s which are essential for glowing and healthy skin?

AHA’s are also great for dry skin as they are made up of molecules that love the water which improves the skin’s moisture content.

2. Contains Vitamins

Papayas contain concentrated amounts of both Vitamin A & Vitamin C which have anti-inflammatory properties as well as antioxidants.

These assist in soothing your skin.

The flesh of papaya contains antioxidants, as well as vitamins C and E, which are good for your hair.
